Original 1960s black sequinned dress which would make the perfect occasion dress. It features a heavily sequinned bodice with a double satin spaghetti strap and curved chest seams to create shape and support the bust. The dress fastens at the rear with the original central metal zipper and hook and eye closure and is cut slightly lower at the back than at the front. The waist has a thin satin band running all the way around and flows out into a gathered georgette skirt which is heavily pleated to create movement. The dress is lined in a quality acetate adding structure to the overall garment.

In excellent vintage condition with no faults or marks to note and is clean and ready to wear. Although without a label, it has high quality finishing throughout. The garment was almost certainly made for the high-end USA ready to wear market and retailed in an upscale department store of the era. It would best fit up to a size 10-12 UK, or 6-8 US.
